What is the proces to divide a real estate lot in Austin TX?

I am buying a lot in Austin TX Zip code 78721. The zoning is single residence The lot is 21000 Square feet the lot has a house at one end and I an thinking of dividing the lot into 4 lots of approx 5250 Square feet. The first lot would have the existing home and the remainder 3 would have a house built on each one. Is this possible? Will the city allow it? Is the process complicated. Have you done this? Thanks! There is a house on the lot on one side
