First step for moving to Austin area?

Any good real estate agent, neighborhoods, any parts to be aware of? Please give any advice.

2. The first step may be placing your question in the 'Austin' category; you might have a better chance of getting an answer! To answer your question: anything east of Ih 35 should be avoided if you can, it is not unsafe just a little rough around the edges. Good neighbourhoods and neighbouring cities include: Westlake, Round Rock, Plugerville, Georgetown. Stuff off of Mopac (loop 1) is generally also good, for example, the neighbourhoods in South Austin off of Slaughter Lane or in North Austin around Spicewood Springs. Hope this helps!
