any preference for a home builder?

We are looking at buying a new home from centex and I was wondering if any one had a good or bad experience with any home builder and how things are going now.

1. Centex and Hovnanian both build excellent homes. They take care of their punch lists on a timely basis after you move in and build energy efficiency and quality into their homes. You will enjoy the experience and the home for many years.
