When I type houses for sale in illinois i never find very good answers or websites to visit. I am looking for a house at the most 40,000

2. Try century21.com, remax.com, coldwellbanker.com and do a property search on their sites.
3. Realtor.com is a great site for searching the real estate market anywhere. You can specify what criteria you want to use, and it pulls up listings for you. What's great is that you can get the MLS number and contact information for the listing agent, so it's easy to communicate what you want when you call/email them. Also check the sites of brokers in your area: some national ones are Prudential, Coldwell Banker, etc.
